That’s pretty nifty!
I found some 40 and 50 year calendars made of metal and about 2″ in diameter at: http://www.klockit.com/products/product.aspx?sku=DDDDR&tab=
Those are not OR gates, they are adders (which reminds me of another story)

this is very interesting… i’ve seen something like this in the possession of my grandfather but i was too young to appreciate it’s value back then.
