21 ways to compute n!

(Reminds be of the Paul Simon Song, 50 ways to leave your lover)

Anyways, that exclamation point in the title is not intended to convey excitement on this post, but the factorial of an integer n. Recall that n! = n(n-1)\cdots (2)(1). I was surprised to learn there are so many ways to compute it: Fast Factorial Functions

I particularly liked the that only one I recognized was described as the “ubiqutous, stupid one.”

I know it wasn’t supposed to, but this post made me laugh. I am so glad you get so much enjoyment from math. If you didn’t, what would MY life be like today?
